LFYAA Cricket Well Represented At State Awards Banquet

On Saturday night, the Maryland Youth Cricket Association (MYCA) celebrated the 2017 season at its annual awards banquet, held at the Sheraton College Park North. The featured speaker was H.E. Ambassador Dr. Hamdullah Mohib, Afghanistan's ambassador to the United States. Also in attendance was Maryland Lt. Governor Boyd Rutherford.


LFYAA Cricket Commissioner Jamie Harrison also serves as the president of MYCA, and spent much of the evening on stage. Also there were LFYAA cricketers Valori Schenk, Marrisa Reiss, Kayla Reiss, Everett Hontz and Liam Hontz, accompanied by their families. Marissa received an award as LFYAA's best batter, while Everett picked up two awards as LFYAA's best bowler and best fielder.


After the event, Everett, Liam and their parents Ruben and Elizabeth met the Lt. Governor, and the boys posed for a photo.
